The soft, warm gold colour of this decomposed granite makes it ideal for creating paths and driveways that blend into the landscape. This is a compactable product that can be stabilised with cement to give a hard surface if laid correctly. Learn more about decomposed granite and compaction in our video.
This product is also available in small 25kg bags, Bulls Bags & loose buy the tonne.
Decomposed granite is ideal for walking paths, entertaining areas, driveways or car park areas, especially when stabilised with cement or lime. It can also be used as a garden cover instead of gravel or mulch.
When used for a path or driveway we recommend a good solid base of road base. When stabilising with cement typically use 2 bags of off white cement per tonne.
Mixing can be done by us, we do charge a mixing fee, but remember that when mixed with cement you only have a couple of hours to get the mix laid and compacted.
When stabilising with hydrated lime typically use 1 bag to the tonne. Using hydrated lime gives you more time to finish the job but should still be finished in a timely fashion.
It has a natural, warm, rustic feel to them. This can be observed in many nature reserves where Gold Decomposed Granite is often used to create attractive native paths. Used by councils everywhere.
The course granite particles bond together to create a strong base in driveways, which can be further stabilised by mixing with Off White Cement.
