Galvanised tie frames act as a reinforcement for brick and block walls when embedded in cement mortar. They act as connection and permit in-plane movement to accommodate differential movements in built-up brick/block walls. They are also corrosion resistant. A shorter version of the frame tie is called the stubby tie. Also available in stainless steel.
