Washed River Sand is a course 5mm minus washed sand, which has been dredged from the river & then thoroughly washed. Used as an ingredient in making concrete mix, bedding for paving, bedding for underground pipes, drainage mediums, kerb and gutter installations and a top dress for buffalo grass. 

Note - drastically reduces efflorescence in pavers (salt leaching through pavers), due to the intence washing process.

Washed River Sand also has many other applications such as being blended with Blue Metal and Cement to make concrete. It's also mixed with garden soil & potting mix's to promote drainage and assist in the propagation of plants. 

Free draining course washed sand with small fines which gives good compaction and filtration.
