Although Red Scoria is a lightweight volcanic rock, White Scoria is not as light and porous and it is therefore more robust than its red counterpart. White Scoria is a decorative stone, suitable for pathways and gardens. It also serves well as a viable, long-term mulch as it helps the soil retain moisture and does not break down like wood-based mulches.

White Scoria is not just strictly white. It comprises a blend of colours, but for the main part, is typically creamy-white, with some yellowish highlights.
